Diane teaches a variety of courses including Social Research Methods, Criminology, and a Sociology Senior Seminar. Her publications comprise textbooks, journal articles, and more than 30 pedagogical resources (e.g., study guides, test banks, instructor handbooks and online quizzes). She recently co-authored with Dr. Tami Bereska, Sociology in Action: A Canadian Perspective (4th ed.) (2022) for Top Hat. For several years she has served as a subject librarian for the social sciences, working closely with students and faculty conducting research in sociology, anthropology, economics, and gender studies. She also coordinates publishing and research archiving services that support the teaching, learning, and research carried out at the university. Her research interests revolve around knowledge equity, including ways to sustain the development of open access publishing and open education resources.
