The Liver Sinew Channel: Trajectory and associated anatomy

    1. The Liver sinew channel begins at the most distal aspect of the great toe. It follows the path of the flexor hallucis longus (FHL), crossing the sole of the foot. It continues along the path of the FHL wrapping around behind the medial malleolus towards the deep compartment of the calf. (Anatomy: Flexor hallucis brevis, Flexor hallucis longus, Adductor hallucis)
    2. From its binding point on the posterior aspect of the fibula, the Liver sinew channel continues up the posterior aspect of the leg with the Spleen sinew channel to cross behind the knee, travel through the adductor hiatus, and along the linea aspera to adductor brevis. (Anatomy: Adductor brevis)
