The Spleen Sinew Channel: Trajectory and associated anatomy

    1. The Spleen Sinew channel begins on the medial plantar aspect of the great toe and continues up the medial side of the foot wrapping around the medial malleolus. It continues up the deep aspect of the lower leg by following tibialis posterior. (Anatomy: Abductor hallucis, Tibialis posterior)
    2. From the deep attachment of the tibialis posterior muscle, the Spleen sinew channel will travel with the popliteal artery and vein into the popliteal fossa and through the adductor hiatus to enter the anterior medial aspect of the upper leg. It will travel up the medial aspect of the linea aspera and pectineal ridge of the femur to the lesser trochanter. From here, it will travel up adductor longus and pectineus to connect to the hip flexors (iliacus and psoas major and minor), finally coming to rest at the diaphragm. (Anatomy: Adductor longus, Pectineus, Iliacus, Psoas major and minor, Diaphragm)
